This year Summer Brass Academy is organised for the tenth time, as always in August. This time it will be held in Kalisz – the oldest Polish city. Our Academy enjoy great popularity among participants and teachers.
The main goal of the Academy is to give young talented musicians an opportunity to meet a wide range of teachers and soloists from Poland and abroad. Students can develop their ability to play instruments.
Summer Brass Academy is meant to be a one-week course of workshops for all the brass instruments (trumpet, French horn, bone, euphonium, horn). Every day participants can take part in individual and group classes carried out by distinguished teachers from Poland and abroad who will place great emphasis on the notion of chamber and the ways of playing in a band.
The Academy gives also an opportunity to take part in a range of meetings, lectures and discussion sessions which, consequently, will contribute to the exchange of experience and teaching methods among teachers. There will also be the exhibition of brass instruments and anyone interested will have a chance to try them out.
Apart from workshops, every member of our Academy can attend very interesting lectures about the newest techniques and the practice of playing brass instruments. What is more, the Academy gives a chance to present one’s skills to the public during the concerts in Kalisz.
